Michelle Corrigan is the founder of People Shaped Work: a sitting CEO and a doctoral researcher at UCL, where she studies trust as infrastructure in complex systems. She builds and rescues organisations herself rather than only advising on them.

She has built an organisation from nothing as a founding Chair, stepped into organisations in real trouble and stabilised them, and led a national transformation that took cyber security adoption across a workforce of 1.5 million people from around 15 per cent to more than 75 per cent, winning her the Most Inspiring Woman in Cyber award in 2025.

Her governance range runs from founding Chair and crisis Chair to board-level CEO, across community organisations, national charities and government policy, so what can seem like a remote boardroom decision turns into something that genuinely changes an average Tuesday for the people doing the work. Michelle doesn’t stop at strategy- she does the implementation too.

Michelle is an engaging speaker, trained in executive presence at RADA Business, and co-hosts the podcast Ctrl+Care.

On AI, Michelle is neither chasing the hype nor dismissing it: is it deployed responsibly, does it solve the right problem, what happens to the people it affects when it doesn’t. That view is backed by her work with Oxford’s Institute for Ethics in AI.
